Spider cabinet

I’ve made this cabinet in my second year at the HMC ( wood and furniture college) in 2016. As the name gives away my inspiration for his cabinet came from a spider. Personally I like furniture that appears to be light and playfull, because the cabinet stands on it’s ‘’legs’’ it really catches this. The legs are build out of 51 layers of chestnut veneer and pressed and glued using a mold. The body is made of plywood with oak veneer and the drawer and door are made of massive oak. The 2 colors really bring contrast to the cabinet and the crossway legs stand out like this. A cheerfull cabinet that brings joy to your room!
